Movement

The Movement series became an exploration of line that was more about moving forward rather then looking back or within. One simple gesture or movement can set off a series of chain events that cause lines of energy to flow around the dancer creating complex flowing patterns. They move through space finding new, unexpected shapes and patterns while working together supporting each other. I found that sometimes that support is all that keeps you balanced.

It reminds me how important relationships are as we move through our own dance. These interrelationships enable us to let go and become strong independent people ready to move on in our journeys.

My contemporary quilts are created using my own hand-dyed fabric with machine piecing and machine quilting.
